Local Chapters
GIRLS chapters are where everything you have read on this page actually happens. They are the beating heart of our organization — student-led, community-supported, and adult-supervised groups that bring the GIRLS mission directly into schools and communities across the country.
Every chapter is a home base for female student-athletes to gather, support each other, build community, and access the resources, mentorship, and advocacy that GIRLS provides. When a school has a GIRLS chapter — everything changes for the girls inside it.

Our Founding Chapter — Winder Barrow High School
The very first GIRLS chapter launched right here in Winder Georgia — at Winder Barrow High School. The Winder Barrow chapter is the pilot that will prove the model and pave the way for every chapter that follows.
The Winder Barrow chapter serves female student-athletes across all sports at the school — attending games, running gear drives, hosting scholarship workshops, visiting local middle schools, and building the kind of spirit and community that Winder Barrow girls deserve.
This is where GIRLS began. And this is where we will prove that what we are building works.
How Our Chapter Model Works
Every GIRLS chapter operates under the oversight of GIRLS National — maintaining the same mission, the same standards, and the same commitment to female student-athletes regardless of where it is located. Chapters are led by a dedicated Faculty Advisor or Chapter Director — a vetted, trained adult who ensures every activity is safe, mission-aligned, and properly supported.
Every chapter is formally authorized by GIRLS National through a signed Chapter Authorization Agreement
Every Chapter Director completes the GIRLS Chapter Director Orientation Training before the chapter launches
Chapters receive branded materials, program resources, and dedicated support from GIRLS National throughout the year
Every chapter is part of the growing GIRLS national network — sharing resources, ideas, and impact across all communities we serve
Is There a GIRLS Chapter at Your School?
If the answer is no — let us change that.
Starting a GIRLS chapter at your school is simpler than you think. We provide everything your Chapter Director needs — the training, the materials, the templates, the support, and the national network. All we need is one committed adult who believes in female student-athletes and a group of girls who are ready to show up for each other.
Chapters are currently forming across Georgia and in the next 5 years plans to expand beyond. If you are a teacher, coach, counselor, or community leader who wants to bring GIRLS to your school we want to hear from you today.
Any teacher, coach, school counselor, or community leader who is passionate about supporting female student-athletes and can commit to leading the chapter for one academic year
Nothing. GIRLS provides all materials and support at no cost to the school or the Chapter Director. There are no startup fees and no ongoing charges
From initial interest to first meeting typically takes four to six weeks — including training, authorization, and setup. We walk you through every step
Are You a Student Who Wants to Join?
If your school already has a GIRLS chapter ask your Chapter Director or Faculty Advisor how to join. If your school does not have a chapter yet — tell a teacher or coach you trust and have them reach out to us. Or reach out to us yourself. We will help make it happen.
You do not have to wait for someone else to bring GIRLS to your school. You can be the reason it gets there.
Chapter Spotlight
As GIRLS chapters launch and grow across the country this section will feature their stories — the games they showed up to, the girls they supported, the gear they collected, the scholarships they helped unlock, and the moments that reminded everyone why this work matters.
Check back here to follow the journey — chapter by chapter, game by game, girl by girl.

Community is not built overnight.
It is built one game, one chapter, and one girl at a time.

Join us. Show up. Be the crowd she deserves. Be the community that changes everything for a girl who is playing her heart out and wondering if anyone is watching.
We are watching. We are showing up. And we are building something that lasts.
We Are The Change.
